Terms of Service
These terms explain what you get when you buy a summary from Noqta, what you agree not to do with it, and when access can be suspended. Please read them before ordering.
Last updated: 7 August 20261. Agreeing to these terms
By creating an account, placing an order, or reading a summary on noq-ta.app, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the service.
These terms work together with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your personal data.
2. Your account
- Accounts are created by signing in with Google. There is no separate password to manage.
- Your account is personal to you. You may not share it, sell it, or let another person use it.
- Only one device can be signed in at a time. Signing in elsewhere ends the earlier session. This is how we prevent account sharing.
- You are responsible for everything done through your account.
- The details you give us at checkout — name, university, faculty, phone number — must be accurate.
3. What your purchase gives you
When we approve your order, you receive a personal, non-transferable licence to read that summary online through the Noqta reader, for your own study.
You do not acquire ownership of the summary, and you receive no right to reproduce or distribute it.
Where a summary offers a free preview of its first chapter, that preview is provided for evaluation before purchase and is subject to the same restrictions below.
4. What is not allowed
You agree not to:
- Copy, photograph, screen-record or screenshot summaries in order to share or publish them
- Redistribute, resell, or trade any part of a summary, whether for money or for free
- Share your account or sign-in with anyone else
- Attempt to download, extract, decrypt, or bypass the protections on the reader
- Use automated tools to harvest pages in bulk
- Remove, hide, or alter the watermark on any page
These restrictions restate the undertaking you accept at checkout. Breaking them is treated seriously: it can result in immediate and permanent loss of access, and may expose you to legal liability.
5. How copies are traced
Every page you view is stamped with your email address and your student code before it reaches your screen. Any leaked screenshot or photograph therefore identifies the account it came from.
We mention this openly so there is no ambiguity: if material traced to your account appears elsewhere, we will act on it under section 9.
6. Orders, prices and payment
- Prices are shown in Egyptian Pounds (EGP) on the summaries and pricing pages.
- Payment is made outside the site using the method shown at checkout. You then upload proof of payment.
- An order is a request, not an automatic purchase. A member of our team reviews your payment before access is granted.
- We may decline an order — for example if the payment cannot be verified.
- Promo codes may be limited to particular accounts, or to a number of uses, and may be withdrawn at any time.
- You will normally be given access shortly after approval. Approval is a manual step, so it is not instant.
7. Refunds
Because access is digital and takes effect as soon as your order is approved, purchases are not refundable once access has been granted.
There are two exceptions:
- If we cannot verify your payment and therefore do not grant access, any amount you have actually paid us is returned.
- If a summary you bought is unavailable through our fault and we cannot restore it, we will refund that summary.
If your access is withdrawn because you broke section 4, no refund is due.
8. How long access lasts
Unless we state otherwise for a particular summary, access continues for as long as we operate the service and your account remains in good standing. Some items may be sold with a stated time limit; where that applies, it is shown before you buy.
We may retire a summary — for instance if a curriculum changes. We will not remove something you have already bought without telling you.
9. Suspension and banning
We may suspend or permanently ban an account that breaks these terms, particularly section 4.
- A banned account cannot sign in, and the reason is shown to the person when they try.
- If a ban is lifted, the account, its student code, and its previous purchases are restored intact.
- A ban applied for copying or redistributing content does not entitle you to a refund.
If you believe a ban was applied in error, contact us and we will review it.
10. Availability of the service
We work to keep Noqta available, but we cannot promise it will never be interrupted. Maintenance, technical faults, or problems at our hosting providers may make the service temporarily unavailable.
To keep the service usable for everyone and to limit bulk copying, there are limits on how many pages an account can render in a day. Ordinary studying is well within them.
11. Ownership of the summaries
All summaries, their text, layout, and the Noqta name and branding remain the property of Noqta and its authors. Nothing in these terms transfers any of that to you.
Notes and highlights you create while reading remain yours, and we store them only to show them back to you.
12. Our responsibility
Noqta provides study material to support your revision. It does not replace your lectures, your textbooks, or your faculty's official curriculum, and we do not guarantee any particular academic result.
To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim connected with the service is limited to the amount you paid us for the summary the claim relates to.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top of the page shows when they last changed, and significant changes will be made visible on the site. Continuing to use Noqta after a change means you accept the updated terms.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt, and the courts of Egypt have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
